Veroeros sit amet dolore

Do I have to be African American to join YFS?

Absolutely NOT! Young Friends come in all ethnic groups, colors and nationalities. Young Friends are of African descent, European descent, Asian, Indigenous American and Latin American…Come one, come all! As long as you support our mission and are making a difference in your community, we’d love to have you.

What age is too old to be a Young Friend?

Young Friends members are ages 21-49. If you are younger or older, we invite you to support our programs, donate to our cause, or volunteer at our events.

I live in a city where there’s no YFS chapter but I want to be involved. What should I do?

The vision of YFS is to expand to cities nationally and internationally and we’re always searching for visionaries in various locales who can help us accomplish our mission. If you feel like you have leadership qualities and are passionate about building beneficial institutions, we invite you to submit a request to start a chapter in your area.

Does YFS partner with other young professionals organizations?

Of course we do! Cooperative work and economics allows us to come together to create a stronger community and a better, brighter global society.

Who should I contact if I have a question?

If you have a question about starting a chapter or supporting the national organization, contact Shantrelle P. Lewis at shantrelle@youngfriendssociety.org or Shara D. Taylor at shara@youngfriendssociety.org.

Become a member of YFS today! Joining a chapter is easy, or if you are in a city that is not represented, start a chapter!
